Director Sircar suggested Khurrana, a video jockeyand television host, for the role of Vicky; he was considered because he was popular among the youth, and also because the role required an authentic Punjabi characterization.

HTC One X

Taiwanese phone maker HTC unveiled its flagship phone One X with amazing features. HTC's flagship device One X features a polycarbonate unibody that is said to have the ruggedness of metal but is super lightweight. This is the first time that HTC has experimented with a polycarbonate bodydesign and it has come out in flying colours with the One X.

Its polycarbonate body is really tough; during the event I accidentally dropped the handset from a height of six feet on a temporary staircase and the smartphone didn't show any sign of damage.

One X comes with a 1.5 GHz Super 4-plus-1 quadcore Nvidia Tegra 3 mobile processor with integrated fifth battery saver core and a high performance 12 core Nvidia GPU. The device also has a new HTC Sense 4 interface, which makes navigation quite smooth.
The phone has a large 4.7 inch, 720p HD screen with contoured Corning Gorilla Glass that protects the display from scratches. I tried scratching the glass with a pen and coins, and were quite amazed to see no scratch marks on the screen.

The device has an internal memory of 32 GB and an additional 25 GB Dropbox free account so you can easily back up your photos, songs and other documents to the cloud.

In terms of a navigation button one thing to note is that in the One series handsets, instead of the usual menu, home, back and search capacitive buttons on the front panel there are back, home and recent apps buttons.
Also, unlike earlier HTC phones with Beats Audio, which only worked in the stock music and video app, HTC One X integrates with Beats Audio more deeply. Beats Audio's EQ enhancements will join the party whenever audio plays, whether it's in the music player, on an internet radio app, or on YouTube.
But the most amazing thing about the HTC One X is its camera capabilities. The camera clicks real fast - at as little as 0.7 seconds and is helped by an autofocus function that takes just 0.2 seconds to get ready. The camera can even click 90 snaps at a go if the user wants to capture some action.

Also, if you are witnessing something important and want to capture it right away but the phone is locked, don't worry. Simply drag the camera icon to the unlock icon and the camera viewfinder comes on and is ready for action.
One more impressive thing about the phone is its Media Link feature. This feature lets you connect HTC One X to a large-screen TV with a three-finger swipe action. And that's not all, after connecting the smartphone to a TV one can play a movie on the TV and simultaneously use the mobile screen to check mails or even make phone calls. All this has been made possible by using a Wifi dongle which can be connected into the HDMI slot of the TV.
HTC One X is an extremely well designed and impressive smartphone. It will definitely give some tough competition to iPhone 4S with its large Gorilla Glass screen, solid build quality, and super-fast camera.

Making of iPad

Rob Schmitz, the Shanghai Bureau Chief of Marketplace, is granted rare access by Apple inside the factories of its Chinese supplier Foxconn.

He traces the journey of an iPad as it makes its way through the factory - from testing of gyroscope to the myriad of tests that a display is run through.

What's interesting to note is how much manual intervention is required at each step. If you thought modern electronics are made in giant factories with robotic arms, this one is sure to come across as a surprise.

Amongst the many things revealed in the video is the fact that an average factory worker earns around 700 rupees ($14) a day, which doubles after a couple of years of work.

Towards the latter part of the video, Schmitz also takes a look at the recreation facilities Foxconn has built for its workers.

Sony PSP Vita

Sony's PSP was a game-changer in the handheld gaming market. The PSP was the first handheld game device to use an optical disc format, the UMD (Universal Media Disc) and memory stick pro duo as its primary mode of storage. Over the years, the PSP hasn't changed much in terms of its form factor apart from getting a bit slimmer. But seven years on, Sony continues its PSP legacy with the PS Vita (earlier code-named NGP or Next Generation Portable) and it is definitely a huge leap from its predecessors in terms of graphics and performance. Vita means 'life' in Latin. It seems apt for the rich entertainment services the device offers. These are the hits of Sony PSP Vita.

Samsung Galaxy Note

When Apple launched iPad, they positioned it as a device meant to fill the gaping chasm between the smartphone and the notebook. However, some people thought that a 10-inch device would be too big to carry around so manufacturers started coming up with 7-inch tablets. But then someone thought
even that was too big. That someone was Dell, who then went ahead and launched the Streak 5.

Now Samsung revives it with the 5-inch tablet segment with Galaxy Note. Unlike Dell, however, Samsung has positioned the Galaxy Note as a large smartphone, rather than a small tablet. Also, unlike Dell, Samsung has a massive fan following in the smartphone segment and on paper at least the Galaxy Note looks promising.

Design and Build

Extreme slim with a broader look, it goes just awesome. 8 megapixel camera, LED flash are add ons.

Display
The display on the Galaxy Note is its biggest feature, both literally and figuratively. It has a massive 5.3-inch, Super AMOLED display. But it’s not just the size that’s impressive. The Galaxy Note is the first smartphone to have an HD display. That’s 1280 x 800 pixels in the palm of your hands.

The AMOLED display has some advantages too such as the perfect black levels and the wide viewing angles. The display visibility under sunlight is excellent as well.

Hardware and Software
Internally the Galaxy Note is identical to the Galaxy S II with the only difference being the CPU, which is clocked slightly higher. So instead of 1.2GHz you get a dual core 1.4GHz Cortex A9 with the same 400 GPU and 1GB of RAM. As for the storage space we get 2GB phone memory, 16GB USB storage (of which 11GB is available to the user) and microSD expansion up to 32GB.

Camera
The Galaxy S II was lauded for its terrific camera and the Galaxy Note carries over the same camera. It is one of the best cameras in any phones till date. The stills look fantastic with the right amount of details, contrast and color saturation. Even the low-light images are quite respectable. One of things about shooting on the Galaxy Note is the massive viewfinder that we get, which made things look good even before we shoot them.

The video camera too is excellent.

Video playback
Video playback is one of the things you should buy this phone for. The large, high-resolution display coupled with an excellent video player that plays almost any video format up to 1080p resolution makes it brilliant for watching movies on the go. Unfortunately, the internal memory is FAT formatted and the phone does not accept NTFS formatted memory cards, so there is no way to transfer files over 4GB, which is a shame because the phone could have easily played them had it not been for the file system limitations. Other problem is the loudspeaker, which isn’t very loud and since there is just one of it on the side it sounds awkward, so its best to use headphones when watching videos.

Battery Life
In general, the phone seemed to have no trouble lasting through the day on a single charge. Video playback and web browsing in particular seemed to make the battery go down a lot faster. The AMOLED display might consume less power when display darker images but ends up consuming a lot more power when displaying bright screens, such as a white web page.

>> STORY
The bosses of the European drug cartel meet in the French Riviera to discuss a new threat emerging from Asia. Don (Shahrukh Khan) is jeopardizing their business because he is able to sell drugs at a much lower price to their customers. The bosses send word out that Don must die. Don has been living in Thailand for the past five years and goes to a remote settlement to pick up a shipment of cocaine. Instead of normal transaction, Don has to fight his way out because the European drug dealers want him dead. He then inexplicably goes back to Malaysia where he surrenders to Roma (Priyanka Chopra) and Inspector Malik (Om Puri). Don is sentenced to death and sent to a Malaysian prison where he meets his old rival Vardhaan (Boman Irani). Don and Vardhaan escape the prison by poisoning all the inmates and go to Zurich, Switzerland, where Don meets his trusted companion, Ayesha (Lara Dutta).
In Zurich, they retrieve the contents of a locker only Vardhaan could access. The locker holds a tape that shows J.K Diwan (Aly Khan), the vice president of a Euro printing bank called DZB (Deutsche Zentral Bank = German Central Bank), sent by Fabian Cole to bribe Singhania to kill a competitor. Don blackmails Diwan into giving him the blueprints to the bank so that he can steal the printing plates. Diwan gives him fake information and hires assassin Jabbar (Nawab Shah) instead. Don manages to escape and forces Jabbar to work for him. Diwan, left with no choice, hands over the real information.
Don and his new team plan a bank robbery and carry out their plan by using hostages. After stealing the printing plates, Don is betrayed by Vardhaan and Jabbar but manages to escape. However, one of the members, Sameer (Kunal Kapoor) calls the police and Don is captured. Don threatens Sameer for informing the police. Unable to enter the bank and free the hostages, the police are forced to work with Don to get back into the bank in exchange for immunity in Germany.

Don and Roma manage to reach Vardhaan and Jabbar but Roma is shot because she refuses to kill Don when told to do so. This gives an idea that Roma still has soft corner for Don, even though he killed her brother five years ago. Vardhaan and his thugs fight and Don manages to defeat them. He then gets his immunity papers and surrenders the disc (containing the information about his associates) and the plates. He takes Roma to an ambulance. Don and Roma exchange one glance at each other before the ambulance doors close. He later detonates a bomb he planted earlier in Diwan’s car. It is revealed that Don actually still has one of the money plates, which the police believe is destroyed in the explosion. It is also revealed that Sameer was loyal to Don and giving his information to police was just a part of Don's plan. The police cannot do anything as Don has immunity and do not know that Don has a plate. Don also gives the police a disc of all his associates but it is really a disc with the names of the European drug cartel. All the members of the cartel are arrested and Don becomes the king of the European underworld.
